Legion M Invests in Dean Devlin/David Tennant Thriller Bad Samaritan
Persistence pays off.
Months ago, we were lucky enough to screen an early cut of the fantastic feature film thriller BAD SAMARITAN. The movie was terrific – scary and entertaining with great acting and a surprising story – with a premise that left us all talking about “what if?”
Even better, it was produced and directed by Dean Devlin, the Hollywood heavyweight who has brought mega-hits Independence Day, Stargate, Godzilla, "Leverage," "The Librarians," and countless other memorable films and shows to the masses. As if that weren’t enough, what could possibly make the film more compelling than the fact that it starred the one and only David Tennant ("Doctor Who," "Jessica Jones") as a maniacal villain!
This fit right into our brand so perfectly, we’ve been chasing the film ever sense. After all, this commercial, wide-release would be a huge step for us and an unbelievable opportunity to work with one of the biggest creative forces and some of the fastest rising stars in Hollywood.
After months of work, we are beyond thrilled to team up with Dean Devlin’s Electric Entertainment to help bring this fantastic thriller to the big screen, debuting nationwide April 27 and starring Tennent, Robert Sheehan (Mortal Engines, The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones, “The Umbrella Academy”), and up-and-coming star Carlito Olivero ("Step Up: High Water", "East Los High", "The X-Factor").
Bad Samaritan is a terrifying cautionary tale of two thieves uncovering more than what they bargained for when breaking into a house they thought would be an easy score. After making a shocking discovery, they must choose to run and hide, or face the killer whose dark secrets they have exposed.
Our investment in Bad Samaritan will provide our amazing Legion community all over the country with many opportunities to support the film! In addition to a panel at Wondercon, there will be select fan convention screenings leading up to the film’s opening, so be on the lookout for e-mail announcements about screenings near you.
